🎉 3rd Annual Bridging the Gap Block Party!
Dear Friends of World at Hand,
We’re just a few days away from our 3rd Annual Bridging the Gap Community Event & Fundraiser, and I couldn’t be more excited to welcome you — especially with this year’s special block party-style celebration right on the street where I grew up! Join us for food, drinks, games, community and snag a deal at our silent auction!
Whether you’ve been part of our journey since the beginning or are just joining our community, this Saturday will be a powerful reflection of how far we’ve come together.
🌍 Event Highlights:
Location: 26th & Cherry Street, Denver 80207
Schedule Overview:
11:00 AM – Setup & Welcome
12:30 PM – Free Community Grill
2:00 PM – Student Speakers
4:00 PM – Silent Auction Closes
✨ Community Support That’s Making This Possible:
We’ve received incredible support from businesses and sponsors across Denver and the state!
Costco & WeWave are covering all food and drinks so everyone can eat, connect, and celebrate together.
Denver International Airport and The Colorado Trust have contributed to a $2,500 matching fund — if you can’t attend but still want to support, this is a perfect time to double your impact by donating below.
EF Education First is supporting as a Scholarship Sponsor and will be joining us in person, with exciting conversations underway for deeper collaboration ahead.
🎓 Student Voices You Helped Uplift:
We’ll hear from two inspiring scholarship recipients:
Andrea R. (CU-Denver), who studied abroad in South Korea last summer
Amber P. (CSU), who traveled abroad for the first time this summer on a program in Portugal
Their stories are living proof that access to global experiences changes lives — and your support makes that possible.
Whether you're local and planning to stop by or cheering us on from afar, thank you for believing in this work. This event is a celebration of community, possibility, and the shared belief that everyone deserves a chance to see the world and their place in it.
Hope to see you Saturday!
With gratitude,
Shawn Wall
