This summer has been one of the busiest in World at Hand's history.

From supporting students before and after study abroad to sharing our work at conferences across Colorado, we've continued building momentum toward our vision of ensuring local students have access to global learning opportunities.

A Record Summer for Student Support

This summer, World at Hand awarded 11 study abroad scholarships to Colorado students!

Our scholarship recipients represented two distinct cohorts. The first partnered with Aims Community College, supporting students from Aims and Weld County as they prepared for international programs in Ireland. A second Denver Metro cohort brought together students from the University of Colorado, CU Denver, Colorado State University, and the University of Denver.

The journey didn't end when students returned home. This summer, eight returned study abroad students continued their experience through Beyond Borders, our four-week professional and career development program designed to help students reflect on their experiences, identify the transferable skills they developed abroad, and confidently communicate those experiences to future employers and graduate schools.

Students are reporting stronger confidence in communicating their experiences, greater awareness of the skills they developed abroad, and increased readiness to leverage those experiences in future careers and educational opportunities.

Sharing Our Work Across Colorado

Summer also provided opportunities to connect with educators, employers, nonprofits, and international education leaders throughout the state.

World at Hand was proud to participate in and support several outstanding events, including:

World Trade Day, hosted by World Trade Center Denver, where World at Hand took its first step beyond the international education sector and into the broader global business community.
GlobalMindED Annual Conference, where we shared resources and opportunities with Colorado students while connecting with and learning from educators and changemakers from across the nation.
Colorado/Wyoming International Educators (COWYIE) Conference, where World at Hand served as a conference sponsor while strengthening relationships with international educators throughout the region.
The Badge Summit at the University of Colorado, where we explored innovative approaches to recognizing student learning through digital credentials and microcredentials.

Growing Our Team

As our programs continue to expand, so does our organizational capacity.

This summer we welcomed Program Coordinator, Kiersten, and Marketing & Communications Intern, Anna, to the World at Hand team. Their support is already helping us strengthen student programming, build partnerships, improve communications, and prepare for continued growth.

A New Foundational Partnership

We're excited to announce a new foundational partnership with the Prosperity Denver Fund.

Through this collaboration, 75% of eligible scholarship and select program costs supporting Denver students can be reimbursed, allowing World at Hand to reinvest those funds into additional scholarships, student programming, and future opportunities through the Global Scholars Pathway.

This partnership significantly increases the impact of every dollar raised, helping us stretch our resources further and create more opportunities for Denver students to access and grow through global education.
